Ymlaen efo'r Flwyddyn Newydd / On with the New Year
Following a successful conclusion to 2007 which saw the band take part in the North Wales Rally in Rhyl, and raise much needed funds by performing carol services in the locality over the Festive period - the band members are now planning activities for the first quarter of 2008. At the North Wales Rally in the town hall in Rhyl, the band received a very favourable fourth place adjudication, to follow on from last years' third place. The youth band achieved a commendable second place in their section for the second year running, so a big well done and congratulations to the youngsters! The senior band continues to compete against much larger bands from towns across north Wales, and would welcome new members who currently play brass instruments, or would wish to learn. Cyngerdd Blynyddol / Annual Concert The concert in July in the village hall in Llanllyfni turned out to be a successful evening, with performances from the Nantlle Male Voice Choir and the band's senior and youth members. Discussions are being held on arrangements for this summer's event with a view to further enhancing the show, and hopefully attract more members of the public.
